Hugh Gage is an independent web analytics and usability specialist working with businesses to increase revenue by improving the performance and cost efficiency of their websites.
His background is in web analytics, online advertising communications and strategy development.
He spent three years working at Logan Tod & Co. in London as a senior analyst and consultant, prior to that he was Head of Online Planning and Buying at Manning Gottlieb OMD. There he helped set up, grow and run the online media planning and buying department.
He has worked with clients ranging from start-ups and small to mid sized business such as Digital Frames Direct and I Want One of Those to blue chips such as Sky, Virgin, Yahoo!, Eurostar, Renault and Hilton.
Hugh strongly believes that web analytics is as relevant for the small to mid sized business as it is for blue chips and he firmly believes that it should be made accessible and practical for organisations of all sizes.
Hugh also currently writes the Web Pro Analytics column in the UK’s .NET magazine.
